GUMT Competes at UC Davis and Yale

Yale & UC Davis Tournament Recap: GUMT takes 1st and 6th place 🏆

This weekend AT&Team and Team Barbie Dream House competed at UC Davis’ Cowtown Classic Invitational and AT&Team competed at Yale a few weeks prior on November 14-15

AT&Team, captained by Ahmed Ibrahim and Talin Antarkar finished with an overall score of 4.5-3.5 at Yale and first time closing attorney Audrey Wills was recognized with an outstanding attorney award with 17 ranks for the defense and GUMT President Austin Upshaw was recognized as the highest ranking witness at this tournament with an outstanding witness award with 19 ranks for the plaintiff.

At UC Davis, AT&Team finished in first place with a record of 6.5-1.5 and new member Isabelle Chiu was recognized with an award as an outstanding witness with 17 ranks on the plaintiff. Congratulations to Audrey, Austin, Isabelle and this team for their amazing accomplishments throughout the semester and ending the season strong.

Team Barbie Dream House, captained by Julia Hartnett and Elisabeth Cajurao finished in sixth place at UC Davis with an overall record of 6-2. Jacob Hamburger was recognized with 2 outstanding witness awards with 17 ranks on the plaintiff and 16 ranks on the defense and new member Natalie Gilbert was also recognized with an outstanding witness award with 16 ranks for the plaintiff. A huge congratulations Jacob, Natalie and the team for their stellar performance at UC Davis and for concluding their fall season.

UC Davis concludes the fall invitational semester for GUMT and we cannot wait to compete again virtually with everyone in the spring! Wishing everyone a safe and happy holidays and a happy new year!
