GU Mock Trial Executive Board

Matthew Shin (CAS’25) - President

Matt is a Junior in the College from New Jersey. He is majoring in Government and minoring in Chinese and Science, Technology, and International Affairs. Matt hopes to go to law school eventually, and when he isn’t practicing for mock you can find him working at UG, procrastinating in Lau, or playing piano in the HFSC!

Rohan Patel (CAS’25) - Vice President

Rohan is a Junior from Phoenix, Arizona majoring in Government and Economics, with a minor in Justice and Peace Studies. He competed in mock trial throughout high school and is excited to continue at Georgetown. During his free time, he loves to follow Arizona sports teams (especially the Phoenix Suns) and he hosts a football podcast. Rohan hopes to have a career in public policy or law after graduating.

Reese Yoshikawa (CAS’26) - Treasurer

Reese is a Sophomore from Pearl City, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. She is currently undecided in the College of Arts & Sciences but hopes to major in Government with double minors in Theology and Justice & Peace Studies. She participated in Mock Trial in High School but was pleasantly surprised and challenged due to the new experiences that came with her first year of college mock with GUMT. Reese hopes to go to law school after receiving her undergraduate degree; when she is not calculating budgets for GUMT or working on something for mock, you can find her procrastinating in leavy or being semi-productive at a café in Georgetown.

Cynthia Lu (SFS’26) - Director of Logistics

Cynthia is a second year in the School of Foreign Service from Milwaukee, WI studying Regional and Comparative Studies. Some days, she’ll tell you she wants to go to law school… other days, she’ll say she wants to pursue academia. When she’s not pondering her life path, you’ll find Cynthia doing a crossword, raving about em-dashes, or begging her mom for pictures of her cat.

Nate Schindler (MSB’26) - Secretary

Nate is a sophomore from Philly studying Marketing and Management in the MSB. Nate competed in Mock Trial all four years of high school and has loved getting to continue it in college. When not working on Mock Trial (ha ha… funny), you can find him creating marketing graphics for The Corp, being unproductive in Sellinger lounge, or rewatching The Office on pirated websites.
